Microsoft Edge is Going to Start Blocking Browser Hijackers

A change has been made so that in-process DLLs for the Microsoft Edge browser must be signed. This change means that the Edge content processes will only load Microsoft-signed or WHQL-signed DLLs. 3rd party signed or unsigned DLLs will not be loaded into the Edge content processes.

This is a really important development. All of the crapware and malware out there that hijacks your web browser does so by inserting a DLL into the running process and then hijacking your search page and new tab page. This will prevent malware from hijacking the process.

For now, at least. How long until they figure out a way around it?

30 years, 30 memorable facts about Super Mario Bros.

I thought I’d use this auspicious anniversary to highlight 30 of my favorite little-known facts about the game that started Mario’s glorious run on home consoles. Most Mario fans are probably familiar with some of these little factoids, but if you knew all 30 before reading this article, well… give me a call, because we should probably be friends.

Great article. It’s amazing that it’s been 30 years since Super Mario Bros came out. I was only 8 years old at the time, and we were poor, so I only got to play when I went over to a friends’ house. A year or two later, my uncle bought me the NES and by that point everybody else was bored with half of their games so they lent me a giant bucket of their old NES games, which I spent a few years playing through. Amazing memories.
