Solar Fade (a.k.a. Sun Fade, Sun Outage, Solar Outage, and Sun Interference) is a satellite communications phenomenon where the signals transmitted from a satellite (mainly geostationary ones) suffer from degradation, interference, or signal noise. Solar Fade never occurs more than once per day and usually only lasts for a few minutes.
