Geocaching

Geocaching is the name for an outdoor adventure game (think along the lines of treasure hunting) that makes use of GPS technology and allows players (geocachers) to find containers known as geocaches that have been hidden by event organizers.

The locations for these geocaches are then posted to the Internet once they have been set up. Players may find a multitude of different “prizes” in geocaches and are even sometimes encouraged to leave something behind for the next player who finds a particular geocache in order to keep the fun going.
