FEC

FEC (short for Forward Error Correction) is a data communication technique used to enhance data reliability by correcting transmission errors on the receiving end.

FEC works by adding redundant data (error correction code) to characters and/or code blocks prior to transmission. If errors occur during transmission, then they can be fixed without needing to retransmit the data again.
