A Subdomain (a.k.a. Child Domain) is a domain that is a part/component of a larger domain name under the DNS (Domain Name System) hierarchy. An example is “thewebsite(dot)com”, which is the main domain while “gallery(dot)thewebsite(dot)com” would be a Subdomain.
