A Colocation Facility is a dedicated third-party facility specifically designed to physically house customers’ web servers as opposed to individual organizations creating and maintaining similar spaces on their own properties.

A Colocation Facility can provide: floor space, secured cages/cabinets, filtered/regulated power, proper cooling (air conditioning), backup power generators, security, maintenance, troubleshooting, fire detection/extinguishing, multiple dedicated high-speed Internet connections, etc. as needed by their customers.
