A BTS (short for Base Transceiver Station, a.k.a. Cell Phone Tower) is a piece of mobile network equipment that is controlled by a Base Station Controller (BSC), facilitates wireless communication between a mobile device and a network, and consists of the following components: antennas that relay radio messages, transceivers, duplexers, and amplifiers.
