Hockey is the only major sport divided into three periods (as opposed to other larger or smaller intervals like innings, halves, or quarters) due largely to how tough play is on the ice and the necessity of refinishing the surface with a Zamboni machine between periods.

Synthetic Backup | |
A Synthetic Backup combines a full backup of data/information and any modifications/changes made with one or more subsequent incremental backups. The incremental backups themselves only consist of changed data/information since the last full backup. Synthetic Backups are referred to as such because they are not created from original data/information, but from two or more files that have been “merged” by the backup application being used.

| WhatsApp is a really popular, Facebook-owned messaging service, although most of its users are outside the US. | Since Windows 7, apps with multiple open windows are combined into a single taskbar button. Hovering over the button gives you a live thumbnail of every window and you can then click the window you want to work with. | |
| LibreOffice has many useful features, but you can add even more. Much like Firefox add-ons or Chrome extensions, you can add extensions to LibreOffice to expand its capabilities. | |
| If you have an Android phone, you undoubtedly have some sort of photo management app installed—most likely, it’s just called “Gallery.” But you know what? That’s not the be-all-end-all of photo apps. In fact, there are a slew of others on the Play Store that do a much better job of handling your photos. | |
| Windows Hello, a new feature in Windows 10, allows you to sign into your computer with your fingerprint or facial recognition. It now allows you to sign into apps and websites via Microsoft Edge, too. | |
